Super 14 is just around the corner, with the kick off game between the Highlanders and Brumbies just 2 weeks away!
Its a shame that down here in melbourne there is SFA about rugby in the news.
The Victorian comp is just starting to gear up for the new season with most clubs starting preseason in the next few weeks. I’m a little intrigued to find out that my own rugby club, Monash Uni Rugby Club, is a little unsure of which division we’ll actually be playing in! The VRU has announced their Premier divisions draws, but monash no longer appears in the Premier Division 3! Curious, considering we managed to make the finals last season… Also, this talk of a 2nd Division… I wonder who will appear in that? I’m guessing since Maroondah isn’t listed in the Premier Divisions either, that they’ll be in our comp. No mention of Endeavour Hills either… I thought they had several teams in different grades, am I wrong? Nope, a quick check of the Hills’ website shows they’re pretty unhappy about being left out. Still, they hint at a chance they may still make it. Hope they do, actually. They deserve to be playing in the Premier divisions.
